VTiger connector installation

1. Requeriments

- VTiger hosted en vtiger.com or free version hosted on your own servers. Version 6.0 or above.


2. Configuration on vtiger.com

If your VTiger installation is hosted in the vtiger.com subscription service follow these steps. In other case, please continue on the step 3.

1. Go to CRM Settings / Extensions Store and search for extension "Phone Calls". Click on "Install".

2. Once the extension is installed go to the section CRM Settings / Integrations / Phone Calls and fill these fields:

- Gateway: Asterisk

- VTiger Asterisk App URL: enter the URL that is shown in the field "Vtiger Asterisk URL Web" in the VTiger configuration section of your Control Panel. ( ie: https://c702.a.voip-sys.com/events_manager/vtigerCallback?c=1-1& ).

- Outbound Context: vtiger

- Outbound Trunk: vtiger

- Outbound Prefix: Local

- Your Caller ID: vtiger

- Ticket Title: enter a tag that will be assigned to tickets created from the incoming call popup.

- Opportunity Name: enter a tag that will be assigned to leads created from the incoming call popup.

- Callback URL y Vtiger Secret Key: copy these values because they will be needed later to configure the Control Panel section.

3. Go to the section "Manage Users" and follow these steps for each user you want to configure an extension for VTiger:

- Click on "Edit" so you can modify user fields.

- Enter in the field  "Asterisk Configuration / Asterisk Extension" the number of the extension that will be used with this user.

- Check in the field "Receive incoming calls" if this VTiger user will attend incoming calls or not. If you disable it, the incoming call popup window will be not shown for this user.

Once you have finished this steps you only have to configure the VTiger integration in your control panel. Go to step 4 to continue.


3. VTiger configuration on your own hosting

To configure the VTiger integration on your own hosting follow these steps:

1. Download PBXManager module from this link.

2. Go to the section "CRM Settings / Studio / Module Manager" and click on "Install from Zip". This link is found in the bottom of the page.

3. Upload the file PBXManager-2.2.zip downloaded on the step 1.

4. Once it is installed go to the section "CRM Settings / Integration / PBXManager" and clic on "Edit" and complete this fields:

- Vtiger Asterisk App URL: enter the URL that is shown in the field "Vtiger Asterisk URL Web" in the VTiger configuration section of your Control Panel. ( ie: https://c702.a.voip-sys.com/events_manager/vtigerCallback?c=1-1& ).

- Outbound Context: vtiger

- Outbound Trunk: vtiger

- Vtiger Secret Key: copy these values because they will be needed later to configure the Control Panel section.

3. Go to the section "Manage Users" and follow these steps for each user you want to configure an extension for VTiger:

- Click on "Edit" so you can modify user fields.

- Enter in the field  "Asterisk Configuration / Asterisk Extension" the number of the extension that will be used with this user.

Now you must configure the VTiger integration in the control panel of your phone system following the steps in the next section.


4. VTiger configuration in the Control Panel

1. Go to the section Settings / Integrations and click on "Change configuración" in the VTiger module.

2. Fill these fields:

- VTiger Type: select the type of VTiger installation (if it is hosted in your own hosting or in vtiger.com).

- VTiger URL: enter the URL you use to access your VTiger app (ej: https://xxxxxx.od1.vtiger.com or your own if it is hosted in your own server).

- Phone Calls Secret: enter the secret password that is shown in the phone integration section in VTiger.

- Configured extensions: select the extensions that are going to be used with VTiger.

- Show recorded calls in VTiger: if you have enabled call recording in your phone system and you want to link this recording from VTiger, activate this checkbox.

- Get caller ID from VTiger: if you activate this checkbox, when you receive a call in your phones, the name from the customer that is calling matched from VTiger data will be shown in the display. To enable this feature you have to enter the name of a VTiger user with API permissions and the API Acces Key for this user (you can get this key from the field "Access Key" in the section CRM Settings / Manage Users and clicking on the user record).

3. Enable VTiger module clicking in the "ON" switch.
